About Chief Minister Nagar Creation Scheme 2022
This scheme was started on 27 July 2022 by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath. Under this scheme, they will be developed with the expansion of Nagar Panchayats and Municipal Bodies in the state.
The Chief Minister ordered that all facilities be provided to newly formed newly expanded Nagar Panchayats and municipal bodies.

The Uttar Pradesh government cabinet meeting was held on 2 August 2022. In that, some important decisions were taken by him, which are as follows –
In this Mukhyamantri Nagar Srijan Yojana, a total of 191 bodies, including new and old expanded bodies, will be expanded from the financial year 2017-18 to the current financial year 2022-23. The budget for this will be determined based on the population of those areas.
- A budget provision of Rs 550 crore has been made in the budget for the current financial year 2022-23 under the Chief Minister’s Municipal Corporation.
- In this, the government has made a provision of Rs 366.30 crore for the new Nagar Panchayat, and Rs 53.35 crore has been made for the border extension of Nagar Panchayat.
- Moreover, a total provision of Rs 71.50 crore has been made for the expansion of the municipal corporation.
- This meeting has also taken the decision to include the entire area of Nagar Panchayat Sujaabad and Nagar Palika Parishad Ramnagar in Varanasi Municipal Corporation.
- District Fatehpur’s Nagar Panchayat Khaga and Shahjahanpur’s Nagar Panchayat Nigohi will be expanded.
- Ghaziabad’s Municipal Council, Modinagar Muradnagar and Loni, Shamli’s Kairana, Bulandshahr’s Anoop Shahar, Muzaffarnagar’s Khatauli Nagar Palika Parishad will also be expanded.
