अजर-अमर, अखण्ड ब्रह्मचारी, पवन पुत्र, रूद्रावतार, अंजनि नंदन इत्यादि विभिन्न नामों से प्रसिद्ध प्रबल वीर और पराक्रमी श्री हनुमान जी की महिमा सर्वविदित है। कलियुग में हनुमान जी सर्वाधिक शक्तिशाली उपास्य देव हैं। ये शक्ति के महासागर और साहस के प्रतीक हैं। आजन्म ब्रह्मचारी श्री हनुमान जी वानर वंश के होते हुए भी सर्व समर्थ देव हैं। इन्हें भगवान भोलेनाथ शिवशंकर का ही अंशावतार माना गया है।
श्री हनुमान जी वेद-वेदांग ज्योतिष, योग, व्याकरण, तंत्र-मंत्र-यंत्र, संगीत, आध्यात्म और मल्लविद्या के आचार्य होने के साथ-साथ राजनीति, कूटनीति और रणनीति में भी कुशल हैं। इस भौतिक संसार में कोई भी ऐसा कार्य नहीं है जिसे हनुमान जी के लिए सहज में ही सम्पादित कर लेना संभव नहीं हो।
मर्यादा पुरूषोत्तम भगवान श्री रामचंद्र जी के अनन्य सेवक और प्रिय श्री हनुमान जी की श्रद्धापूर्वक साधना उपासना करने से साधक को बुद्धि, विद्या, ज्ञान, बल, यश, वैभव, कीर्ति, ऐश्वर्य, सुख-शांति, धन-सम्पति, लोकप्रियता, निर्भीकता, धैर्य, सुदृढ़ता और वाक्पटुता जैसे अनेकानेक अद्भुत गुणों की प्राप्ति होती है। प्राचीन शास्त्रों तथा वैदिक ग्रन्थों तक में भी पवनसुत हनुमान जी की साधना- उपासना की महत्ता को प्रतिपादित किया गया है।
